James Gunn, the casting director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, attended the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil. There, Gunn spoiled the release of the anticipated first official trailer with everyone who came to the event.
Previously in July, due to issues with VFX shots, Gunn was anxious to release the trailer to the public. But after months of careful thinking and planning, the director has finally released the first official trailer for his final Guardians movie today!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 promises an emotional twist even before the trailer’s premiere. And honestly, everyone is getting ready with their boxes of tissues!
As Avengers: Infinity War still leaves a bitter mark on their die-hard fans’ hearts, Gunn’s last instalment of the epic movie will also join the bandwagon of severe heartaches. (You might need to sit down and digest everything before leaving the cinema.)
You might question: it’s a feel-good movie— what’s so sad about it?
Well, with the existing melancholy aspects in the previous instalments, along with the impending new threats on Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) and Chukwudi Iwuji‘s High Evolutionary, things may not turn as good as you think. And to add salt to the wound, Rocket Raccoon‘s (Bradley Cooper) heartbreaking background will definitely twist the insides of your chest with pain.
Gunn’s final addition to the Guardians universe is set to premiere on 5 May 2023. Hold on tight because this will put you on an emotional rollercoaster ride you can’t forget.
