Henry Cavill won’t be Superman anymore? Everyone is vibrating in their seats upon knowing that James Gunn, the renowned filmmaker of many blockbusters hits like Guardians of the Galaxy (2014-23), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and The Suicide Squad (2021), has a DC script ready-to-go.
Along with Peter Safran, they’re delighted to share some fresh-from-the-oven info on their first projects at the beginning of 2023.
Gunn informs fans around the world through his Twitter. Many are excited because the awaited Superman is also on the list!
Peter & I have a DC slate ready to go, which we couldn’t be more over-the-moon about; we’ll be able to share some exciting information about our first projects at the beginning of the new year.

However, the sad news is Henry Cavill won’t return as Superman, as stated last October!
Gunn says, “But we just had a great meeting with Henry, and we’re big fans, and we talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.”
Henry isn’t the next Superman and possibly won’t be
Henry personally shared a post on his Instagram to clarify the questions people have been asking since Gunn posted his tweets.

Although the actor is excited to embark on another exciting journey as Superman, his turn to wear the cape is over. Henry confirms he’ll no longer be Superman. But he is open to other possibilities and is honoured to work with Gunn someday.
Many fans are disappointed about this
Henry’s fans have been anticipating his heroic return as Superman. But his and Gunn’s post shatters their hope to see him wearing the blue and red attire again.
Yet, people send warm wishes on his post and say Henry will always be their Superman.
Even though his Superman voyage ends here, we’re ready to fly with him to different places! We wish you all the best in your next endeavour, Henry!
