Is It True? ‘Mechamato’ Movie Promotes Melaka And The Beauty of Malaysia

Have you got the chance to watch Mechamato Movie yet? If not, this is the time to do so! The holiday season has started last Saturday and it will last for three weeks! Take this chance to support the local newest animation movie, Mechamato Movie!

Previously, movie director and chief executive officer of Animonsta Studios (Mosta) Nizam Abd Razak said the Mechamato Movie, which will be screened in theatres across Malaysia and Brunei starting Dec 8, is the fruition of the company’s aspiration to empower Malaysian culture via creative content.

For those who are hesitant to watch it, do not be! Mechamato Movie promotes the beauty of our country, Malaysia! It is always exciting when one’s country is portrayed in a movie.

According to @boboiboy on TikTok, the setting of the film is Kota Hilir which is inspired by Kota Melaka and Bandar Hilir. It is a fictional city but based on a real-life city in Melaka. Thus, when you see the movie, you will see various architectures which represent Melaka.

To make the movie, the Animonsta Studios team traveled to Melaka to see all kinds of architecture as references to create Kota Hilir city. They were making sure that every aesthetic element from the architecture are being portrayed in the movie.

For instance, the destarkeris, and trishaw are presented in the movie which shows the uniqueness of our country. Those who have watched the movie would see a destar building. The building was created using Islamic geometrical concepts. Aside from that, the building was also created referring to the Masjid Besi and Putrajaya International Convention Centre’s (PICC) architectures.

The unique portrayal of Malaysia will surely entice tourists, especially from other countries in visiting Malaysia.

Feeling excited, yet? If that does not, let’s see some reviews from those who have watched Mechamato Movie:
