Malaysian Boxer Farkhan Haron Is The First-Ever WBC Asia Bridgerweight Champion

Last night was an emotional win for Malaysia’s boxer, Farkhan Haron. Despite winning the WBC Asia Brigerweight defeating the strong opponent from Iran, Yousof Mohammadiosmanvandi.

“Last night was a defining moment in the boxing career of Malaysian pugilist Muhamad Farkhan as he became the first-ever WBC Asia Bridgerweight champion defeating Iranian boxer Yousof Mohammadiosmanvandi,” said WBC Asia in a statement.

It was a turning point in Farkhan’s career in the boxing arena. He became the first-ever champion in the main event of the FH Boxing promotion held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Although he didn’t win by knockout, Farkhan accumulated 96-94, 96-94, and 95-95 points in a 10-round match. Thus, he has crowned the champion, and he was thankful for it.

In a short Facebook post, the crown prince of Johor, Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, congratulated the boxer for his outstanding achievement. His win made many Malaysians proud and Johoreans, as he was born in Johor.

Farkhan is a two-weight champion?

Additionally, he is also a two-weight WBC Asia champion. Not only is he the current Bridgerweight champion, but he is also a former cruiserweight champion.
