Passengers On China Flights To Milan Have 50% Of Them Positive COVID-19

Passengers on China flights are a new topic that has become a huge worry for a lot of people nowadays. This is because Bloomberg reported that almost 50% of the passengers on two different flights from China to Milan tested positive for COVID-19. Shocked!

Not so long ago, the authorities also have taken some action by issuing this response. To those who might not know, Italian health officials have issued orders that they will test all travelers coming from East Asia. For more detailed information about the flights, it is understood that passengers who were found positive for COVID-19 arrived at the Malpensa Airport from China last Monday.

The Lombardy regional health chief known as Guido Bertolaso said, “On the first flight, 35 out of 92 passengers tested positive, while on the second flight, 62 passengers out of 120 were infected”. For fast response, passengers who tested positive have been isolated, and officials have stepped up efforts to trace close contacts.

Italian Health Minister that is Orazio Schillaci also added that tests would be made for all passengers from China and also those transiting through Italy. He mentioned, “The measure is essential to ensure the surveillance and identification of any variant of the virus to protect the Italian population”.

Several reports also show that US officials are considering taking additional measures for travelers coming from China, given the lack of virus-related data from the Chinese government.
