After the accident that happened at Puncak Alam’s Eco Grandeur fun fair, there is another similar case at Winter Wonderland in London’s Hyde Park.
Last night, the slingshot ride at the amusement park crashed and smashed into a support beam. Two male passengers were trapped inside when security evacuate the area for safety purposes.

There was a technical issue causing the release of one of the elastic cords and steel wire ropes supporting the gondola. While the suspenseful moment happened, they were inside the seating pod.
Typically, the ride uses elastic cords to launch the pod into the air, mimicking the action propelled by a slingshot.
However, the fun ride turned tragedy when a technical issue happened abruptly.
After the crash, the seating pod hung against the beam while some of the remaining band recoiled to the side.
A Hyde Park Winter Wonderland spokesman explained, “We can confirm that a technical issue involving the reverse bungee occurred on Wednesday evening. Both riders were safely escorted off the ride, checked by our on-site medics and were not injured.”
Thankfully, there are no victims of this accident. We hope incidents like this will not happen again. They have to ensure the quality and safety of the rides before introducing them to visitors.
