This Company Sells An Amethyst-Looking Office Chair For RM14,863!

Factory-M, a company that specializes in semiprecious natural stones, produced an Amethyst-looking office chair. The chair costs $450,000 yen (RM14,863).

The office chair received a lot of attention after the company posted pictures of the product on social media. Many people mistook the chair as some kind of joke or meme. Some even thought it is a torturing device. Even though the chair looks uncomfortable, humans can sit on it, and buy it if they can afford to.

The founder and the owner of factory-M, Koichi Hasegawa revealed that he produced the Amethyst-looking chair after he visited the United States. He was there to find natural stones to bring them back to Japan. He came out with the idea of the chair after seeing a giant L-shaped piece of amethyst.

Despite looking uncomfortable to sit on, Hasegawa said the opposite. He also claimed that the chair can easily support a sumo wrestler. The stone alone weighs 88 kilograms, and adding the metal frame makes the chair weighs 99 kilograms.

We might think that nobody will purchase the chair, but nope. Hasegawa revealed that dozens of individuals and companies have shown their interest in the chair.

What about you? Would you spend $3,400 to own this fancy amethyst-looking office chair?
