What To Do? Tips When Encountering Wild Animals During Flood Season

Flood season is never a good thing for human beings. Not just us humans, but wild animals are also affected during these times. These animals inhabited the forest, and sometimes near the river.

Because it rained so heavily this couple of weeks, several places in Malaysia are now flooding. This includes the place where the animals are inhabited.

Thus, there is a possibility for us to encounter wild animals like crocodiles, elephants, boars, and more during the flood season.

Recently, a video has gone viral where several men encountered wild boars swimming in the flood water. Nevertheless, people criticize the men’s action of being harsh to the wild boars.

Thus, what exactly should you do?

PERHILITAN shares with us some tips on what to do if we encounter any of these lost wild animals.

Sometimes, when we see wild animals, we are afraid they might harm us. Thus, in our mind, we want to make them scared, so they will not disturb us.

  • Nevertheless, PERHILITAN advises us to not provoke the animals.

Why is that? If we begin to provoke these animals, they might become aggressive. We do not want any bad things to happen to us, right? So, do not bother them.

  • Next, PERHILITAN advises us to stay away from the wild animals.

If the animals were to come in front of you out of a sudden, please stay calm and do not panic.

  • Lastly, make sure to contact PERHILITAN.

Animals can get scared too, especially during this flood season. Therefore, they might be aggressive at times. Thus, please contact PERHILITAN at 1-800-88-515 for further action by the department.
