Why Are People Talking About DSAI ‘s Socks On Twitter?

Recently, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) on Twitter uploaded some photos of his meeting with the Regent of Pahang. There are four photos of him together with Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

What interests people about the photos is not about the meeting. If you already know, netizens have very sharp eyes. They can detect the smallest things, including socks. Yes, you heard that right, socks.

But why are they talking about the socks that DSAI was wearing?

According to a tweet by @syahrulSB in reply to DSAI’s tweet, our 10th Prime Minister was wearing eco socks. That means he was wearing a pair of socks that only cost RM2.40.

How could he even detect that?

As a famous figure in Malaysia who wears eco socks, a Twitter user jokingly assumes the socks’ price will increase.

Besides that, another tweet by a netizen praises DSAI. For him, to be a great leader does not mean that a person should own expensive things. A great leader is someone who prioritizes one’s country and its citizens.

By looking at DSAI’s family, people know they are the kind of people who are careful with spending. They are also very humble, according to @ludbAruuN.

This is not the first time people are interested in what DSAI is wearing. Before, they were keen on the Prime Minister’s shoes which were a gift from the King of Johor.
