Wonder Woman 3 Will Not Resume Its Filming Under The New DC Studios

On the 7th of December, the popular Gal Gadot tweeted something about her role in Wonder Woman. She revealed her appreciation to be chosen to play such a great character, Diana Prince, and hoped to surprise her fans with the new chapter of the story.

Nevertheless, with the new leadership from James Gunn and Peter Safran for the new DC Studios, Wonder Woman 3 is reported not to resume. Fans who have been waiting for years for the movie will surely be disappointed.

Patty Jenkins, who directed and co-write the first two movies has been informed by the news. Gunn and Safran told her that the third movie did not fit into the new plans of the studio. For now, no decisions are made about the next steps.

Furthermore, Gadot was set to be paid $20 million for the third movie, while Jenkins would have received $12 million. Mind you that the payday does not include the bonuses. It is not that the studio has financial problems. Nevertheless, the studio could save up to tens of millions of dollars by not resuming the third movie.

Gadot’s tweet about her role made people wonder if she is aware of the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3.

The first movie of the series was released in 2017 with the title ‘Wonder Woman.’ In 2020, we were welcomed with ‘Wonder Woman 1984.’
