Flight Delay? Know Your Rights By Asking For This Compensation

Imagine this: You come early to the airport for a vacation. However, you then find out your flight is delayed. Of course, it will ruin your mood, does not it? You keep waiting and waiting, and it has been more than two hours!

This can not be! Waiting is torture. Do you know that if your flight gets delayed, you deserve compensation? According to @kpdnhep, you can ask for compensation if you have waited for hours to board on a plane because of delay or cancellation.

Depending on the cause of delay or cancellation, you can ask for compensation:

1) Flight delay for two hours and more

  • Food, telephone calls, internet access

2) Flight delay for five hours and more

  • Stay (hotel etc.) and transportation

3) Cancellation of flight

  • You will get a full refund or an alternative flight

Added by @kpdnhep, compensation will not be given if the situation is not expected by the airplane company. This includes the situation where it may affect the passengers’ safety or due to extreme weather.

Thus, if someday you might encounter this situation where you have to wait for hours to board your plane, you may make a complaint. Click on this website for further information about the compensation: https://www.mavcom.my

Hope this information will be a help for those who need it!
