Why Is Dustbin Cover Essential In A Flight?

Have you ever been on a flight? If you have, you must notice that there is a dustbin in the flight’s toilet. Of course, the dustbin in the flight might look different from other dustbins that we have usually seen elsewhere.

Dustbins usually come with their covers. Just like in the flight too. Do you know that the cover is there with a purpose?

According to @zarulumbrella, a dustbin cover is essential in a flight’s toilet and has to function well. For your information, a dustbin in a toilet’s flight may be like what you have seen in fast food restaurants. Refer to the picture below:

The dustbin cover, which @zarulembrella describes as a ‘flap’ needs to function. If it is broken, the toilet should be blocked from being entered.

But why? It is just a cover. Yes, it might be just a cover, but it might save the entire flight from an accident like a fire. As we all know, dustbins are filled with tissues, papers, and other flammable things.

Added by @zarulumbrella, some people smoke in the toilet and throw away their cigars in there. Thus, this situation might cause a fire, and it can be worse if the cover is not functioning well.
