The movie has crossed $2.243 billion (RM 99. 3649 trillion) at the global box office. Unexpectedly, Avatar has surpassed Titanic‘s $2.242 billion (RM 99.3206 trillion). Therefore, it became the third highest-grossing film of all time!

Disney shared the happy news with fans all around the globe in a Twitter post. In the tweet, they expressed their gratitude by saying, “Thank you to our fans for your passion, your love, and for making #AvatarTheWayOfWater the 3rd highest-grossing film of all-time worldwide.”

It’s not a surprise that this film can top the legendary Titanic as it has earned $657 million (RM 29.1051 billion) domestically. Additionally, Avatar: The Way of Water also surpasses Jurassic World to become the ninth highest-grossing film of all time in North America. In international earnings, the movie gets a high of $1.586 billion (RM 70.2598 billion).

Avatar: The Way of Water almost takes Avengers: Endgame‘s place in second. But, the 2019 groundbreaking movie grossed $2.799 billion (RM 12.39957 trillion), which is a tough battle to win. Yet, third place isn’t so bad.

Yet, if the movie’s second instalment aims to steal the highest-grossing film of all time globally, it has to earn more than the original Avatar released in 2009, which was $2.923 (RM 12.94889 trillion).

Congratulations to Avatar 2 for getting the third highest-grossing film of all time, as deserved!
