“Orang Nak Balik Johor Ni…” This Driver Couldn’t Pass The Toll, Worker Slept While On Duty

One of the places that many Malaysians want to avoid is the toll. If there’s an alternative way to reach a destination, many road users will use it. No matter the distance, as long as there’s no toll, it’ll be alright. However, if there’s no other way, then get ready with your Touch ‘n Go card.

Speaking of toll and Touch ‘n Go cards, have you ever been in a situation where the machine that detects the card is out of service? These days, many Malaysians prefer cashless transactions, and encountering something like this might make you anxious and confused.

Of course, when these things happen, the toll worker will come to the rescue! Phew. You don’t have to break a cold sweat yet.

But! What if the toll worker is sleeping while on duty? Oh-oh. That’s another problem.

The toll worker slept so soundly

UncleJohn (@unclejohn) shared his experience encountering a funny yet stressful situation.

They wanted to go to Johor. Therefore, the driver tried to scan the card at the detector. But to their dismay, the machine was out of service. Perhaps it’s offline or malfunctioned. The card can’t be scanned.

When they called for the worker, he didn’t answer. The toll worker was sound asleep! Although they shouted, “Abang! Abang!” and even gave salam, the worker didn’t budge.

It looks like he was already dreaming with the clouds…

Netizens couldn’t stop laughing

We could relate. It’s funny and sad at the same time. Funny because the toll worker still didn’t wake up despite the frantic callings. Sad because the worker was probably tired.

Some wonder if they’ve already arrived at Johor or not. (Thankfully, they did.)

Many said the driver shouldn’t fan the worker with the card. It made the worker feel more comfortable!
