Remembering Some Of Malaysia’s Aeroplane Accidents

Some accidents could not be forgotten by some people. Let’s take the aeroplane tragedies that befell Malaysia once upon a time as an example. It was not just one tragedy, but several. The tragedies shocked Malaysia as some remain a mystery until now.

Know some of these Malaysia’s aeroplanes accidents that shocked not just Malaysians but the world too:

1) MH370

  • In March 2014, MH370 was flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crews.
  • While flying to its planned destination across the South China Sea, MH370 went missing from the radar.
  • All of the passengers and crews were presumed dead.

2) MH17

  • MH17 was set to fly from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 2014.
  • It was only months after the tragedy of MH370.
  • There were 283 passengers and 15 crews on board.
  • Unfortunately, while flying over eastern Ukraine, the aeroplane was shot down by Russian-controlled forces.
  • All of the passengers died, and two Russians and a Ukrainian were found guilty of murdering 298 passengers.
  • Recently on news, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin is said to approve the supply of missiles that shot MH17.

3) MH653

  • MH653 crashed down in December 1977, in Tanjung Kupang, Johor.
  • Even though the tragedy happened 46 years ago, it is still remembered especially by those who have family or friends on board.
  • All of the 93 passengers and 7 crews died.
  • A memorial site has been built 4 days after the tragedy to remember the victims.
