Police charged a South Korean man in Gyeonggi province after he was accused of violating animal protection law. The man in his 60s claimed he collected dogs and starved them, leading to their death. Sadly, the number of dogs that he abused is not just several, but more than 1,000 since 2020.
According to Mothership, the discovery of the dogs started when a resident in the same village lodged a report about their missing dog.
The crime scene was a horror to everyone, especially to animal lovers. The dogs had to live in cruel conditions and environments where some of them were locked in cages to die. Other carcasses found were stacked onto one another while fur-matted.
A video documented by Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE) shows the horror the dogs had to go through. The caption mentions there were 300 to 400 dead dogs when the team busted the place.
At a clinic, four alive but malnourished dogs are under treatment. Two of them are in critical condition.
Animal abuse is not a new thing. It does not only happen in South Korea, but other countries too. However, this inhumane action by some people should be stopped. If you do not have anything nice to do, at least, do not hurt them.
