ACMROCH and ARCHIDEX Unleash Strategic Synergy to Transform Regional Development

The much anticipated ARCHIDEX, Asia’s leading architecture business event, is officially open! This exhibition, an event of the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival taking place from 3 – 6 July, brings together the brightest minds and leading companies in architecture, construction and design under one roof at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Groundbreaking Collaboration: ACMROCH and ARCHIDEX 2024

Happening concurrently is the prestigious ASEAN-China Ministerial Roundtable on Construction and Housing (“ACMROCH”) 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Local Government Development (“KPKT”). ACMROCH with the theme, ‘Building Sustainable Futures: Deepening ASEAN-China Co-operation in Housing and Urban Development for Shared Prosperity’, will welcome Ministers from ASEAN Member States and China to discuss key regional growth issues and explore opportunities to jointly reinvigorate the Belt and Road Initiative (“BRI”).

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, this event celebrates a legacy of diplomatic relations that also underscores its intrinsic link to immediate and future national growth and diplomacy. It also serves as a strategic tool for stimulating urban economic and cultural renewal, particularly in housing and construction, to foster shared prosperity and development.

Spearheading National and Regional Growth

The co-location of ACMROCH and ARCHIDEX holds immense significance in opening avenues towards trade agreements and industry advancements. ACMROCH aspires to drive economic growth, job creation and revitalisation of the local economies in the region by bringing together key stakeholders to foster the growth of both ASEAN and China.

This multilateral meeting and roundtable discussion hosted amidst the largest gathering of the industry’s key market players is poised to leave an indelible mark, leveraging governmental and diplomatic ties to connect the policymakers with industries in driving collaboration and innovation.

Industry-Government Bridge

This is the first time a corporate event is hosting a national summit together, leveraging governmental and diplomatic ties to connect the nations with the businesses and industries. As Ministers from ASEAN countries and China come together to visit the exhibition and meet leading exhibitors, converging in the region’s most influential industrial marketplace, the stage is set to catalyse strategic regional change.

Centralised International Trade Potential

Running its 23rd instalment, ARCHIDEX gathers industry professionals and trade experts, creating a vibrant platform for innovation, collaboration and knowledge-sharing. It will play a critical role as a hub for trade and sourcing new technology, advancing regional adoption of advanced technology, and hastening ASEAN’s pace in the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

C.I.S President and Joint Organiser for ARCHIDEX, Dato’ Vincent Lim, said: “Exhibitions drive innovation, trade opportunities, unite industry players and create platforms for a prosperous future. At ARCHIDEX, we support visionaries, leaders and the trade to foster connections, sparks business collaboration and inspire progress. Having ACMROCH held concurrently with ARCHIDEX will further underscore the growing significance and recognition of our event with the regional architecture community.”
