A natural performer, O’Connor hails from Cobh, Cork, and has a Jamaican background. Her journey into music was inspired by her adopted father who introduced Tina Turner’s music to her as a child. “When I first heard Tina, it was like a volcano went off inside me. I knew then this amazing woman would influence me forever,” O’Connor divulges.
Raised in a music-loving household with three adopted siblings, O’Connor’s passion for music was nurtured from an early age, sealing her path to stardom with the blessing and unwavering support of her family. She began Irish dancing at three and ranked eighth in the world before joining her First band as lead singer at 17. No stranger to performing before large audiences, O’Connor wowed audiences as the only Irish artiste to win the European TV show “Stars in Their Eye’’, captivating an audience of over 33 million. O’Connor also showcased her talent on “The Voice Australia” for Rita Ora and Keith Urban.
