On 29th July 2024, MAGGI® launched its 27th edition of the MAGGI® Secondary School Cooking Competition (MSSCC) as part of its ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Introduced in 1997, the MSSCC programme serves as a platform for students to pursue their passion for cooking and develop essential life skills to build a strong foundation for their future.

The MSSCC also empowers young talents in making healthier food choices while fostering a love for home-cooked meals. This has a positive ripple effect, as students bring this knowledge home, and in turn inspire their families to create more nutritious and balanced meals, contributing to a healthier nation.

Ms Ivy Tan, Business Executive Officer, MAGGI®, Malaysia and Singapore said, “The MSSCC programme goes beyond who can cook the fastest or fanciest dish. It’s a chance for our young talents to pursue personal growth, unleash their creativity, and learn valuable life skills – all of which are essential for their overall development and will help build a strong foundation for their future, regardless of what path they choose.”

The theme for MSSCC 2024 is ‘Sajian Cita Rasa Malaysia’, which encourages participants to innovate and modernize classic Malaysian dishes by incorporating modern cooking techniques, unique ingredients, and presenting dishes in unexpected formats. The MSSCC 2024 competition will be launched from 1st August 2024 onwards, with the exciting finale cook- off happening in October 2024.
