The ‘Breezy Bluetrain in Taiwan, one of the most distinctive retro sightseeing trains, was dearly missed by railway enthusiasts after it was retired in 2020. Consequently, the Taiwan Railways Administration began active restoration efforts. After reopening, it has attracted countless travellers eager to experience it. With its nostalgic design and magnificent natural scenery, the train offers passengers a delightful journey along the South-Link Line. As Taiwan’s only retro train without air conditioning, the 50-year-old ‘Breezy Blue’ is equipped with traditional hanging electric fans. It allows passengers to open the windows, directly letting them experience Taiwan’s fresh air and natural scenery. The train slowly traverses southern Taiwan’s beautiful coastline and rolling mountains, allowing every passenger to enjoy this poetic railway journey.
