Being overwhelmed by anxiety and engulfed in the silence of being alone are some of the things most feared by certain individuals. Feelings of unease, overreactions, and other issues start creeping in, making them feel increasingly threatened.
For Zynakal, the experiences of those who suffer from extreme anxiety are not something to be taken lightly, as anyone can experience it in their daily lives.
Drawing from the struggles of people often attacked by anxiety, Zynakal pours all his thoughts and feelings into Kenapa Kembali, his latest work.
“I try to understand the hearts of those who are anxiety fighters, especially when they are alone. What they feel is then translated into the lyrics of Kenapa Kembali,” Zynakal explained. “The story focuses on a romantic relationship that cannot continue due to recurring issues.”
Kenapa Kembali was entirely composed by Zynakal and officially launched on August 9 on all digital platforms.
He added that he always strives to bring something different to each song. The essence of the lyrics should have a unique story so that every piece doesn’t become a cliché compared to his previous works.
As highlighted in Kenapa Kembali, the song tells the story of a couple trying to reunite but facing numerous obstacles due to repeated problems.
The maturity in this new work shines through, not only in the lyrics but also in the overall musical composition of Kenapa Kembali.
Besides aiming to give his best, Zynakal also wanted to offer something fresh in this piece, especially since he just released the single Sendiri in March.
“The lyrics have some relation to my personal life, but not entirely,” said Zynakal, who hopes for a warm reception from listeners.
Not relying solely on listener feedback, Zynakal plans to employ various strategies, including using TikTok to promote and grow the reach of his work.
As widely known, TikTok is one of the most influential modern platforms, with many new songs quickly gaining popularity once they go viral on the app.
Zynakal acknowledged that this is something artists need to embrace as it significantly supports their artistic careers.
“As we all know, TikTok is a very big platform with a vast global user base. We definitely need to use it wisely,” he said. “It’s also a medium for me to share new works and stay relevant in the industry.”
Additionally, the singer, known for his hit song Terbang, revealed that he is set to record a full album soon. The album, currently in the making, is a manifestation of himself.
Kenapa Kembali will be featured in the album, alongside several other songs in progress. This time, Zynakal aims to offer musical variety for his personal satisfaction.
He expressed gratitude that Warner Music Malaysia, which oversees his career, has given him the freedom to determine the direction of the new album.
“I want listeners to enjoy this work, and I hope Kenapa Kembali can fly far, even reaching neighboring countries. It’s been my dream for my work to be accepted by international listeners,” he said, eagerly awaiting fan feedback.
