Leading the Journey Towards Change the Heart Way

Koo Lily added another feather to her cap with the release of her first book, Lead Change Heart Way. Now a published author, Lily has over 25 years of experience in her field, empowering more than 500 corporate clients and 15,000 participants across Asia as a Motivational Speaker, Inner Change Advocate, and Leadership Coach. The book was launched at an intimate soiree held at Temu House, Petaling Jaya, today.

The morning event began with a sharing session featuring Lily and her invited speakers discussing the topic of change. Among the speakers were Siva Seenivasan, a fellow CMI and seasoned behaviorist; Nikki Ong, a therapist; and Guadalupe Cernusco, an environmental advocate and champion cyclist, who joined the session via video conference from Argentina. These three speakers, each from different backgrounds and areas of expertise, shared their personal growth stories and experiences with major life changes. Their inspiring journeys, combined with Lily’s reflections, painted a vivid picture of transformation and even moved some guests to tears.

Following the sharing session, Lily invited the audience to participate in a short art therapy exercise. She encouraged everyone to listen to their inner voice and let it guide them in creating their own artwork on a plain piece of card. Lily then urged participants to continue the exercise at home using additional cards and art supplies.

Already receiving praise and positive reviews, Lead Change Heart Way is a compilation of Koo Lily’s artwork, accompanied by personal reflections and observations that showcase her journey of self-discovery and transformation during the Covid-19 pandemic. Confronted with raw emotions during lockdown, Lily explored the therapeutic benefits of art through art therapist Rita Eckhart’s 40-day challenge, creating one piece of artwork each day. As the practice continued, Lily discovered deeper meanings in her reflections and experienced profound personal transformation.

The result is a heartfelt narrative combining art and words that seeks to guide and connect readers on their own journeys of change. Lead Change Heart Way warmly invites readers to embrace their unique paths of transformation. The book features a blend of Lily’s artwork, reflections, and thought-provoking questions, designed to help readers uncover their own quests for change. These elements are rooted in her belief in transformation through the five key elements of HEART: Humanity, Empathy, Authenticity, Resilience, and Trust—a framework she frequently incorporates into her talks and coaching sessions.

Lead Change Heart Way is more than just a book. It’s a call to embrace and honor our feelings during times of change,” Lily shared during the launch event. “As the pace of change accelerates, taking time to connect with our inner selves becomes crucial. Leading change isn’t just about solving problems; it’s about reflecting and rediscovering answers within—a uniquely human ability worth preserving. This book is especially meaningful for women, helping us harness empathy while balancing roles as mothers, wives, daughters, and professionals. Reflecting and connecting with our hearts empowers us to lead with authenticity and strength.”

For the entire month of November, Lead Change Heart Way will be sold at a discounted price of RM60. Additionally, 50% of the sales proceeds will be donated to a breast cancer charity for purchases made through this link: https://bit.ly/LCHWNov. The book is designed and edited by Chuah Ai Jou and published by Inspiration Hub. It is currently available online via Amazon, IHub, and will soon be available at bookstores near you.
