Ultraman fans in Malaysia were in for a treat as Ultraman The Ultra Tour officially kicked off at Sunway Pyramid here today. The highly anticipated event, a collaboration between Tsuburaya Fields Entertainment International Pte. Ltd. (TFEI), One Universal Production Sdn. Bhd. (OUP), and Sunway Malls, brought together generations of fans to celebrate the iconic Ultra Heroes with a thrilling lineup of activities and immersive experiences.
Officiated by Dato’ Kamil Othman, the launch also saw the presence of representatives from various government agencies as well as the Embassy of Japan, further underscoring the magnitude of the collaboration in strengthening cultural and entertainment ties between Malaysia and Japan.

As we celebrate Ultraman’s legacy here in Malaysia, we are reminded of the importance of fostering international collaborations to enhance the reach and impact of creative content,” said Kamil. “Intellectual properties like Ultraman have shaped global pop culture, and this event showcases how Malaysia can be a thriving destination for such partnerships.”

Passionate fans and guests were given a special live Ultraman performance featuring Totsuka as Yuma Hize/Ultraman Arc alongside another Ultra Hero, Ultraman Blazar where both Ultramans had to fight Kaijus (monsters) to save the world.
One of the major highlights of the ceremony was the record-breaking ASEAN achievement, where One Universal Production Sdn. Bhd. was presented with the official plaque by ASEAN Records after successfully gathering 270 Ultraman fans in Ultraman-inspired attire—the largest gathering of its kind in Malaysia. The excitement continued with a special appearance by Yuki Totsuka, the Japanese actor portraying Yuma Hize/Ultraman Arc, who engaged with fans in an exclusive meet-and-greet session.

The Ultra Tour will take fans on an unforgettable journey across seven Sunway malls, featuring Ultra Heroes meet-and-greet sessions, an Ultraman-themed Inflatable Playland, fun activities such as the Gigabash Game Demo, and a wide variety of exclusive Ultraman merchandise. The event also saw two charity homes, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Pengasih Warga Prihatin and Persatuan Kebajikan Pusat Jagaan Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras, receiving contributions to help them with the preparation for the upcoming Ramadan.
Beyond entertainment, the event also embraced the spirit of Ramadan by giving back to the community. Two orphanages, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Pengasih Warga Prihatin and Persatuan Kebajikan Pusat Jagaan Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras were presented with a charitable contribution to aid them in preparing for the upcoming holy month. The donation aimed to provide essential resources, meals, and festive necessities to ensure the children could celebrate Ramadan with joy and ease. Representatives from the orphanages expressed heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the generosity and kindness shown by the event organizers and partners.
