CDO CONVEX 2025 Champions a New Era of Agile Digital Leadership in Public Sector

The Public Sector Chief Digital Officers Conference 2025 (CDO CONVEX 2025), themed “Agile and Intelligent Digital Leaders of a New Era”, brought together over 500 digital leaders from across government ministries and agencies to shape the future of Malaysia’s digital governance.

Hosted at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya, the prestigious event was officiated by YBhg. Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, and organised by the Jabatan Digital Negara (JDN) in collaboration with Koperasi Profesion Teknologi Berhad (KoProTech).

The conference marks a strategic push by JDN to elevate the role of Chief Digital Officers (CDOs) across government agencies, positioning them as catalysts for holistic digital transformation, operational excellence, and public service innovation.

The full-day conference featured panel discussions, keynote addresses, and interactive exhibitions from public sector experts, industry leaders, and academic thought leaders. With live-streaming via JDN’s YouTube channel, the event reached a broader audience beyond the venue, opening access to thousands of public officers and digital enthusiasts nationwide.

Empowering Agile and Visionary Leaders

This year’s theme underlines the need for leaders who can think analytically, adapt swiftly to tech disruption, and drive impactful change. Participants explored best practices in digital policy, AI integration, data-driven decision-making, and cross-sector collaboration, all vital components in future-ready governance.

Beyond tech talk, CDO CONVEX 2025 underscored the critical role of digital leadership in improving public service delivery and economic resilience. By equipping CDOs with the tools, insights, and networks they need, the government aims to foster smarter public administration and elevate Malaysia’s standing in the global digital economy.

Looking Ahead

The success of CDO CONVEX 2025 signals a continued commitment to advancing digital innovation within the public sector. As Malaysia accelerates its digital agenda, CDOs will remain at the forefront, leading with agility, integrity, and intelligence.
