Outlaws on Display: Liberty Walk’s Iconic Ferrari F40 & Super Silhouette ER34 Land at Tokyo Auto Salon KL 2025
Buckle up, car enthusiasts! Two of Japan’s most notorious custom builds are flying in for Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur 2025, happening from 8–10 August 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Straight from Japan’s legendary Liberty Walk tuning house, the world-famous modified Ferrari F40 and the Super Silhouette ER34 Skyline will be making their Malaysian debut — and they’re not just here to be admired.
Fans will also get to meet Wataru Kato, Liberty Walk’s charismatic founder and the mastermind behind these outrageous builds. Plus, there’ll be an official Liberty Walk merchandise booth for those looking to bring home a piece of tuning culture history.
The “Banned” Ferrari F40
Originally a purist’s dream machine, this particular Ferrari F40, first unveiled by Liberty Walk in 2023, caused global controversy after being allegedly removed from Ferrari’s official registry due to its radical modifications.
This wide-body monster keeps the F40’s legendary 2.9L twin-turbo V8 heart, churning out 471 hp and 578 Nm of torque. But visually, it’s a rebel:

Wide-body aero kit
Rear wing & aggressive diffuser
And instead of the signature Rosso Corsa red, it now dons a white wrap with red roundels, echoing the look of the WWII A6M Zero fighter plane, a bold nod to Japanese heritage and tuning defiance.
The Super Silhouette ER34
The second stunner is Liberty Walk’s Super Silhouette ER34, first unveiled at Tokyo Auto Salon 2020. Inspired by the 1982–83 KDR30 Skyline driven by Masahiro Hasemi, it features the iconic red-and-black livery that’s since become a staple in diecast model collections.
