REDLINE Fitness Games by NISSAN Returned For Third Edition

REDLINE Fitness Games by NISSAN returned to Malaysia for its highly anticipated third edition on 26 and 27 July 2025, taking place at the MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC). Following the overwhelming reception of the first two instalments in 2023 and 2024, this year’s event greatly surpassed previous participation numbers, further cementing its status as one of Southeast Asia’s largest and most inclusive fitness competitions. Over 10,000 local and international participants and spectators converged on the REDLINE arena for a weekend of action.

Positioned at the intersection of athleticism and community, REDLINE has established itself as a regional movement that encourages individuals of all fitness levels to embrace the challenge of functional fitness.

Organised by Fresh Events Asia and supported by returning title sponsor NISSAN, REDLINE Fitness Games offers a platform for gym-goers and fitness enthusiasts to push their limits in a dynamic, high-energy environment.

The event’s core format remained rooted in the REDLINE workout arena, a sequence of workout stations designed to test strength, endurance, agility, and mental resilience. This year’s circuit included a mix of 12 full-body cardio and strength challenges, such as a 500-metre run, SkiErg, BikeErg and RowErg segments, deadball burpees, sled push and pull, and The Mule, a sequence of fast carries using progressively heavier sandbags.

Other exercises, such as Russian twists, squat thrusts, shuttle runs, and the sandbag gauntlet, ensured a demanding yet balanced workout that challenged all facets of physical performance.

Participants competed in structured categories, with Singles, Doubles, and Team Relay formats available for men, women, and mixed teams. Within the Singles division, athletes could register under one of three difficulty levels: Beginner (Level 1), Intermediate (Level 2), or Advanced (Level 3). This ensured that individuals from a wide range of backgrounds could participate meaningfully and competitively.

Jeff Ross, General Manager of Fresh Events Asia, noted that the enduring appeal of the REDLINE Fitness Games lies in its combination of physical intensity and social camaraderie.
“Every year, these games are a reminder of the raw grit and spirit of community they ignite. But that was always the vision – REDLINE was never meant to be just another fitness event. It’s about creating a space where anyone, whether a seasoned athlete or a first-timer, can show up, feel welcome, and participate in a large-scale fitness event. It’s about belonging, pushing your own limits, and being part of something bigger,” he said.

“We’re also grateful to have had the continued support of NISSAN, MyCEB, Concept2 and all of our other many partners and exhibitors as we delivered another amazing REDLINE Fitness Games experience here in Malaysia.”

NISSAN’s return as the event’s title sponsor is also a strong endorsement of the brand’s alignment with REDLINE’s values. Khoo Cheng Pah, Chief Executive Officer of Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd, shared that the automotive brand’s ongoing involvement reflects its commitment to promoting strength, endurance, and boldness – all qualities central to both REDLINE Fitness Games and the NISSAN product line.

“We’re proud to have been part of REDLINE Fitness Games again! At its core, REDLINE is about pushing boundaries. This pursuit of performance mirrors what we at NISSAN strive for in everything we build and everything we do. It’s about constantly evolving for the better. It’s about a shared mindset and vision of going further that makes this partnership so meaningful to us,” he said.

REDLINE Fitness Games 2025 was also proudly supported by the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, which was highly instrumental in the smooth operation and running of the two-day event.

“We’re pleased to support REDLINE Fitness Games as it continues to grow into a signature fitness event for Malaysia and the region. This event reflects the kind of dynamic, community-focused experiences that align with our mission to elevate Malaysia as a preferred destination for world-class sporting and lifestyle events. We’re proud to have contributed to its continued success by providing both strategic support and local insights, towards a safe, rewarding, and culturally rich experience,” said Tan Mei Phing, Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB.

Meanwhile, this third edition of REDLINE Fitness Games in Malaysia served as an opening act for the brand’s regional expansion. In December 2025, Bangkok will host its first REDLINE Fitness Games, with Vietnam preparing to join the roster in early 2026.
The term ‘REDLINE’ refers to the point at which a car’s engine – or in this context, the human body – is pushed to its maximum performance threshold. At REDLINE Fitness Games, participants were encouraged to discover their limit – their “REDLINE” – challenging both body and mind.

REDLINE Fitness Games by NISSAN continues to push the frontier of what community-driven fitness events can be, offering an experience that is physically demanding, emotionally fulfilling, and undeniably inspiring.
