The 4th Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery Conference (AMSC) Malaysia 2025 opened today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, cementing Malaysia’s growing reputation as a global hub for medical aesthetics and healthcare innovation.
Officiated by Dr. Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen, Member of Parliament for Kuching and Political Secretary to the Minister of Human Resource, the event spotlighted Malaysia’s ability to convene global leaders while reinforcing its ambition to shape the future of healthcare and medical tourism in ASEAN.
“Malaysia is proud to serve as a collaborative and educational hub for medical professionals across borders. AMSC reflects our continued commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare,” said Yii in his opening remarks.
Co-organised by the Malaysian Society of Aesthetic Medicine (MSAM) and Deltus, the two-day event gathers over 1,600 delegates from more than 30 countries. Notable highlights include the Malaysian debut of PINOKIO Asia, an international collaboration of Korean plastic surgeons, and the participation of the Society of Aesthetic Medicine, Singapore, further strengthening regional partnerships in shaping ASEAN’s medical aesthetics ecosystem.
AMSC Malaysia 2025 also features specialised cadaveric workshops, offering rare hands-on training in facial anatomy, rhinoplasty, and facelift procedures, setting the conference apart as a world-class platform for advanced medical education.
The event comes at a time when Malaysia’s medical tourism sector is booming, with 1.6 million international patients recorded in 2024, contributing RM2.72 billion in revenue. With the Malaysia Year of Medical Tourism 2026 (MYMT 2026) campaign now underway, the government aims to generate RM12–15 billion in revenue by 2030, supported by policies such as visa facilitation and the Flagship Medical Tourism Hospital Programme.
“AMSC Malaysia 2025 is not just another scientific meeting. It reflects Malaysia’s readiness to take an active role in advancing healthcare globally,” said Dr. Tingsong Lim, President of MSAM and Scientific Director of AMSC.
