MR D.I.Y.’s invites Malaysians to celebrate Merdeka with “Bersama Satu Bazaar”

Great news for KL-ites! Malaysia’s favourite home improvement retailer, MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad [MR D.I.Y.], is bringing back its much talked-about Merdeka bazaar for the second time, this time with the theme “Bersama Satu Bazaar”.

Held in conjunction with the nation’s 68th Independence Day, the “Bersama Satu Bazaar” is a vibrant celebration of unity, pride, and fun. This year, it moves to Sunway Pyramid Open Car Park, giving more Malaysians the opportunity to join the festivities. The bazaar will run from 29 August to 1 September 2025.

The four-day extravaganza will feature more than 100 booths showcasing Malaysia’s most viral food and product vendors, as well as booths from MR D.I.Y. Group’s own family of brands – MR. D.I.Y., MR. TOY, and MR. DOLLAR. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of local favourites including roti canai, nasi lemak, laksa, kuey teow, burgers, noodles, desserts, and a wide variety of beverages. There will also be handmade accessories, handicrafts, stationery, cosmetics, clothing, flowers, and more on offer.

Beyond shopping and food, Bersama Satu Bazaar promises an immersive experience with interactive games, creative workshops, and a full schedule of cultural and contemporary performances. Families with young children can enjoy a giant inflatable playground and a petting zoo, ensuring fun for visitors of all ages.

MR D.I.Y. Group’s Vice President Marketing, Alex Goh, shared his excitement about the upcoming event, saying, “Our first ‘Bersama Satu Bazaar’ received overwhelmingly positive feedback from Malaysians. So we thought: let’s do it again, this time at a new location to welcome even more visitors. This four-day event is about uniting Malaysians as we celebrate our National Day together.”

He added, “It’s also about supporting local businesses, entrepreneurs, and performers by offering a safe, inclusive platform. As a proudly homegrown brand, MR D.I.Y. is not just about delivering quality products at ‘Always Low Prices’, but also about building connections and creating experiences that make a positive impact.  We invite all Malaysians to come celebrate Merdeka with us!”

As a token of appreciation, MR D.I.Y. will be giving away complimentary tote bags daily to visitors who complete the Bazaar Passport Challenge, a fun and interactive way to experience everything the bazaar has to offer. Visitors also stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes worth up to RM8,000.

In addition, MR D.I.Y. will be offering special promotions on 98 products at all stores nationwide, staying true to its commitment to providing value with ‘Always Low Prices’.
