Forward College Offers RM2.5M Subsidies for Job-Guaranteed Tech Diploma

Forward College is making high-paying tech jobs more accessible with RM2.5 million in subsidies for its job-guaranteed, two-year software diploma. Graduates can earn starting salaries up to RM4,000, with training focused on web, mobile, and data-driven app development. This programme targets eligible Malaysians nationwide, especially those from B40 and underserved communities.

Now supported by respected partners such as ECM Libra Foundation, Hong Leong Foundation, and Exabytes Group, the diploma aims to create real opportunities in the digital economy for individuals who couldn’t access higher education due to financial or systemic barriers.

With wider reach, Forward College is positioning the diploma as one of the most career-relevant and employment-focused qualifications available in Malaysia today.

This focus on early employment not only benefits graduates, but also contributes to Malaysia’s digital economy by accelerating the time for skilled workers to generate income and create economic value.

To identify suitable candidates, Forward College uses an online aptitude quiz that assesses key skills such as logic, problem-solving, and adaptability. Those who perform well in both the quiz and a follow-up interview may qualify for fully subsidised education.

“The diploma comes with a guaranteed job placement, supported by a strong network of hiring partners. In the past five years, graduates from the programme have secured jobs in the tech sector, with starting salaries up to RM4,000,” Howie Chang, CEO and Founder of Forward College.

“We teach students more than just coding. They learn how to solve problems, work with others, and use tools like AI in real-world situations,” he added.

With AI transforming industries, digital skills are now essential, beyond IT roles. Forward College believes that understanding software and logical thinking are foundational skills everyone needs to stay competitive.

“The ability to work with AI systems is essential, not just for software engineers but for anyone aiming to stay relevant. We pair this with training in communication, collaboration, and adaptability, so graduates are ready to lead, not just work,” Chang explained.

This initiative supports the government’s push for TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training), with the diploma fully accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) and recognised by the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK).

Meanwhile, Chin Mee Fong, Co-Founder of Simplr Logic, a hiring partner, shared, “We’ve collaborated with graduates from many institutions, but Forward College stands out. Their students have both technical skills and professionalism, making them immediately employable.

“This expanded programme gives companies like ours an even stronger pool of talent to draw from,” he stated.

Applications are now open. Start your journey today at 🔗 https://ready.forward.edu.my using the test code FORWARD to unlock the quiz.
