Manulife Malaysia and SCMP Thrive Inclusive Future for Youth

Manulife Malaysia and the South China Morning Post (SCMP) proudly welcome delegates to the inaugural Malaysia Inclusion Summit 2025. It is held today at The Westin Kuala Lumpur.

With the theme Uniting Malaysia: Advancing Equity, Embracing Diversity,” the event brings together regional leaders, changemakers, and advocates to champion inclusion and equity.

The summit highlights how diverse perspectives and inclusive practices can drive Malaysia toward a more resilient and prosperous future.

Malaysia is Thriving for Victorious Growth

Now in its fourth year, the Manulife-SCMP partnership continues to grow as a leading platform for inclusion dialogue across Asia. This marks the first Malaysia edition of the summit, expanding the initiative’s regional footprint.

This year’s summit opened with a keynote address by YB Steven Sim, Malaysia’s Minister of Human Resources. In his speech, he underscored the vital role of inclusive policies in shaping the nation’s future workforce and economic resilience.

The day’s agenda featured a series of thought-provoking panel discussions and interactive labs centered on inclusive leadership, workplace culture, and generational equity.

Participants also explored key themes such as allyship and accessibility, highlighting their impact on organizational growth. The sessions further examined the evolving role of inclusion in driving digital transformation across industries.

Time to Conquer the Agendas with Manulife!

Among the day’s highlights was the Global Leaders Opening Plenary, moderated by Sudesh Thevasenabathy, Head of Inclusion Asia at Manulife.

The program also featured dynamic sessions, notably the Gen Z Inclusion Lab led by inclusion coach Fyiona Yong. The session encouraged intergenerational dialogue, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration in advancing inclusion.

Breakout discussions explored key themes including intersectionality, inclusive innovation, and community engagement. These sessions offered diverse perspectives on advancing equity, leadership, and social impact across sectors.

Regional leaders such as Sabrina Cheung, Chief Communications Officer Asia at Manulife, and Razlan Manjaji, Vice President of Global Events at SCMP Live, shared their insights on fostering inclusion within organizations and communities.

These sessions inspired participants to rethink traditional approaches to diversity and collaboration. The conversations were further enriched by the voices of youth leaders and advocates who are actively shaping Malaysia’s inclusive future.
