ikhlas.com Partners With Zakat Institutions To Fulfil Needs Of Umrah 1,000 Asnaf Pilgrims

Ikhlas Com Travel & Umrah Sdn. Bhd. (ikhlas.com) continues to expand its series of strategic partnerships with state zakat institutions nationwide, aiming to provide comprehensive sponsorships for selected asnaf (underprivileged) pilgrims through the Umrah 1,000 Asnaf Campaign.

This initiative reflects ikhlas.com’s mission to sponsor 1,000 asnaf individuals from among the poor and needy to perform the blessed pilgrimage of umrah. The effort is supported by asnaf data provided by zakat authorities across Malaysia, ensuring that each recipient’s needs are fully met before their departure to the Holy Land — including travel documentation, vaccination, umrah essentials and other necessary preparations.

Chief Executive Officer of ikhlas.com, Ikhlas Kamarudin said: “We are profoundly appreciative of the strong support extended by state zakat institutions in helping to fulfill the aspirations of the poor and needy asnaf to perform the umrah pilgrimage. This initiative is fully aligned with our mission to broaden social impact through technology-driven Islamic financial solutions.”

Launched on 19 March 2025, the Umrah 1,000 Asnaf Campaign represents a key mission to identify and sponsor selected asnaf individuals from among the poor and needy to perform the umrah pilgrimage, based on specific eligibility criteria set in collaboration with state zakat institutions.

Ikhlas said: “Through strategic collaborations such as this, we aim to demonstrate how technology can act as a catalyst for greater social impact — streamlining welfare efforts and expanding the reach of benefits to asnaf communities across the nation.”

Launched at the height of the pandemic in October 2020, ikhlas.com is a digital Islamic lifestyle and travel platform under Capital A Berhad, offering a convenient avenue for Muslims to fulfil their religious obligations. In addition to umrah and Muslim-friendly travel services in collaboration with subsidiary airline AirAsia, ikhlas.com also provides services including Zakat, Sadaqah, Aqiqah, Fidyah, Qurban and more.
