Horizon Watches Presents: SPECTRUM A Return to Symmetry. A Step Forward in Design

As much of the watch industry continues to flirt with asymmetry and visual excess, Horizon Watches takes a different path— one rooted in symmetry, proportion, and enduring design. The new Spectrum collection marks both a return to the fundamentals of watchmaking and a bold stride into a new era of form and function.

Design That Dares to Be Different

At first glance, Spectrum feels reassuringly classic— a round 38mm case with balanced proportions and timeless appeal. But closer inspection reveals its daring spirit. Every line, curve, and surface has been deliberately shaped to catch light, frame the dial, and convey presence on the wrist.

Representing Phase 2 of Horizon’s design evolution, the case construction embraces stronger geometry and refined detailing. Angular lugs project quiet confidence. A subtle dimple along the case flank acts as a discreet signature. Contrasting finishes – sandblasted, circular, polished, and vertically brushed— create a rhythm of textures that is unmistakably Horizon.

Crowning the design is a box-shaped sapphire crystal, adding dimensionality and visual depth to the composition beneath.

A Dial Worth a Second Look

At the heart of Spectrum lies a dial that rewards observation.

The top layer, CNC-machined from solid steel, features deep ridges that reveal the layers below. The middle layer nicknamed “the pizza,” is divided into four colour quadrants— each filled with a different hue to evoke emotional resonance.

The outermost ring, crafted from sapphire glass, refracts light differently from the metal beneath, producing a subtle shimmer that shifts with every wrist movement.

The result is a multi-plane dial that plays with light, depth, and reflection— transforming Spectrum into a kinetic artwork on the wrist.

A Movement in Harmony with Design

Inside beats the Miyota 9015, a reliable Japanese automatic calibre celebrated for its slim profile and dependability. Horizon elevates it further with a custom-designed tungsten rotor, full-rounded and symmetrical to mirror the watch’s dial geometry.

The result is mechanical elegance— performance and design in perfect harmony.

Custom Accessories, No Shortcuts

Both the FKM rubber strap and 316L stainless steel bracelet were designed exclusively for the Spectrum collection-no generic components used. Integrated lugs and a butterfly clasp complete the seamless silhouette, reflecting Horizon’s conviction that every detail matters.

A Message Etched in Time

Every Horizon timepiece bears a quote that reflects its spirit. For Spectrum, the case back features words from physicist Stephen Hawking:

“The past, like the future, is indefinite and exists only as a spectrum of possibilities.”
