Pullman Kuching Rings in Christmas with Tree Light Up & Heartfelt Support for Kuching Autistic Association

Pullman Kuching kicked off the festive season in style with its annual Christmas Tree Light Up, welcoming close to 200 guests including community representatives, corporate partners, media, and influencers to its newly renovated lobby.

This year’s celebration wasn’t just about twinkling lights and festive décor. Pullman Kuching also launched its Christmas DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity) campaign in collaboration with the Kuching Autistic Association (KAA), bringing children and families from KAA into a joyful, heartwarming gathering filled with shared moments and community spirit.

The newly refreshed lobby became a hub of creativity and togetherness, showcasing artwork and festive merchandise created by KAA children, reminding guests of the season’s true meaning compassion, understanding, and inclusivity.

Community & Togetherness at the Heart of Festivities

“Hospitality is about people, about care and community,” said Mr. Sunardi Song, General Manager of Pullman Kuching.

“Christmas at Pullman Kuching is always more than lights and décor. It’s about celebrating togetherness and shared experiences. Tonight, that spirit shines brighter than ever.”

He added that supporting KAA reflects Pullman’s commitment to giving back:

“Diversity, equity, and inclusivity are core to our culture. We are honoured to support KAA, empowering children with autism to reach their full potential.”

Guests enjoyed live melodic Christmas music while exploring the vibrant displays of KAA children’s artwork. Mr. Duane Reggie, Secretary of KAA, shared:

“Moments like these help others understand the different ways our children communicate, and that understanding makes a meaningful difference.”

Festive Initiatives Supporting KAA

  • Christmas Eve Buffet Fundraising: A portion of proceeds will support KAA’s educational and developmental programmes.

  • KAA Merchandise Corner: Guests can purchase seasonal artwork and merchandise, with 100% of sales going to KAA.

This partnership is part of Pullman Kuching’s broader community commitment, building on past support for projects like the Penan Women Project, which preserves traditional weaving and provides scholarships and income support for Penan women.

Festive Dining for Every Guest

At the newly refreshed Culina Restaurant, guests can enjoy festive dining experiences, from Christmas Eve classics like roasted turkey to New Year’s Eve Pan-Asian specialties, fresh seafood, and Sarawakian favourites perfect for creating meaningful holiday memories.

Pullman Kuching continues to be a place where guests can celebrate, connect, and give back, making the festive season brighter for both visitors and the community.
