HARTA is back with HIKAYAT, an autobiographical exhibition by Noor ‘Aishah Abdul Rahman (Noura AR). This deeply personal collection marks her powerful return to the contemporary art scene, blending lived experience, spiritual reflection, and poetic expression.
Running from 3 to 31 March 2026, HIKAYAT is both visual and performative. It’s a journey of life, a test, and a path of self-redemption a surrender of heart and self to the Creator.
Each piece becomes a story, translating memory and history through colors, movement, and emotion. From laughter and joy to fear and resilience, every work opens a window into the artist’s inner world.
Described by Noura AR as “a performance of voices and stories,” HIKAYAT invites viewers into an intimate dialogue between vulnerability and strength. Each canvas is a page in the book of life, reflecting devotion, love, loss, rediscovery, and spiritual awakening.
Why it matters:
HIKAYAT is more than an exhibition. It’s Noura AR reclaiming her space as an artist, wife, mother, and storyteller. It bridges art history and personal biography, showing how her journey shapes her voice in contemporary Malaysian art. In every color, every gesture, every texture, there is a prayer, a memory, a voice.
