In the spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. continued its annual festive outreach through the “Raya Sama-Sama” initiative. The programme aims to bring warmth, joy, and a sense of belonging to communities across Malaysia.
This year, the initiative reached 13 charitable homes nationwide. It contributed a total of RM21,000 to support both festive preparations and everyday essentials.
Each home received thoughtfully curated “Raya Sama-Sama” care boxes filled with festive decorations, household necessities, and MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers. These contributions helped residents create a celebration that feels just a little more special.
More Than Donations, It’s About Connection
Beyond the contributions, the initiative focused on what truly defines Raya: togetherness. More than 820 individuals including children, caretakers, senior citizens, and underprivileged families, benefited from the programme, ensuring no one felt left out during the festive season.
“Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a time for connection, gratitude, and shared moments,” said Zaleha Mohd Mydin, Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan MR D.I.Y.
“Through ‘Raya Sama-Sama’, we want to remind these communities that they are surrounded by care and kindness.”
At Rumah Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Asnaf Qaseh Ibu, volunteers brought the celebration to life. They spent the day playing interactive games, dancing, and decorating the home alongside the children, turning simple moments into lasting memories.
The visit also included a contribution of RM3,000 worth of cash vouchers, goodie bags, green packets, and essential household items, presented by MR D.I.Y. Group’s Vice President of Marketing, Alex Goh.

Extending Kindness Beyond the Homes
The spirit of giving didn’t stop there. To reach even more people, Yayasan MR D.I.Y. organised bubur lambuk distribution sessions at Masjid Taman Bukit Belimbing on 26 February, 5 March, and 12 March 2026.
Through these sessions, the foundation distributed meals to 5,000 recipients, extending the festive generosity to the wider community and reinforcing the essence of Raya: sharing, caring, and coming together.
