OPPO Malaysia joined forces with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) to officially launch the Bomba and OPPO Community Fire Learning Centre (CFLC) today at Balai Bomba Sri Hartamas, marking a meaningful step forward in their ongoing commitment to community empowerment, education and public engagement.
Established as part of OPPO Malaysia’s corporate social responsibility efforts, the CFLC aims to provide a more conducive and engaging learning environment for children in the surrounding community. It will also serve as a platform to nurture greater awareness, preparedness and appreciation for the vital role of Malaysia’s fire and rescue services.
To further enhance the learning experience at the CFLC, OPPO Malaysia additionally contributed 12 units of OPPO Pad SE and two units of OPPO A6 5G, which will support interactive learning, improve access to digital resources and enrich educational activities for young visitors.
The opening of the CFLC marks the next chapter of this collaboration, highlighting a shared commitment to community engagement through meaningful, people-centric initiatives. The programme featured the official unveiling and tour of the CFLC, along with hands-on learning sessions led by Reno Guru-Guru for the students in attendance.
“This Community Fire Learning Centre represents the kind of impact we hope to create through our partnerships — one that is people-centred, community-focused and meaningful. We are pleased to continue to work with the JBPM to bring truly impactful initiatives such as this to life, for the benefit of children and their families, as greater safety and awareness benefits all in the surrounding community.” said Monica Chin, Chief Marketing Officer of OPPO Malaysia.
The CFLC reflects OPPO Malaysia’s belief that technology and collaboration can play a meaningful role in community development. By working closely with JBPM, OPPO aims to help create a space where children and families can learn, engage and grow in an environment that supports both education and public awareness.
“This initiative shows how public-private collaboration can bring meaningful benefits to the community. Such programs help us engage the public through interactive and educational experiences. We sincerely appreciate OPPO Malaysia for their ongoing support and commitment to community-focused initiatives, and hope that more private-sector will continue to champion such initiatives in the future,” said YAS Dato’ Sri Ts. Nor Hisham bin Mohammad, Director-General of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia.
Riding on OPPO Malaysia’s ongoing partnership with JBPM, last year the company contributed RM100,000 to Majlis Sukan, Kebajikan dan Kebudayaan Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (MASKAB) through its OPPO A5 Pro campaign, supporting Malaysia’s firefighters and frontline personnel.
Later that year, OPPO and JBPM further strengthened the collaboration with the launch of the OPPO A6 Pro, unveiling a commemorative campaign that honours and celebrates Malaysia’s firefighters. This continued commitment has paved the way for the opening of the CFLC, bringing the partnership to a new milestone in community engagement.
