PETALING JAYA, 21 April 2026 — Petrosains Sdn. Bhd. today launched the Petrosains Discovery Rover (PDR) Peninsular at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Dato’ Harun (2), marking the expansion of its mobile STEM outreach initiative to Peninsular Malaysia, starting with the Klang Valley.

Designed as a “science centre on wheels”, the Petrosains Discovery Rover delivers facilitated, hands-on STEM learning experiences directly to schools through interactive demonstrations, experiments and structured activities.

Since February 2026, the programme has reached a total of over 18,000 participants, reflecting strong engagement across schools and communities. Building on this momentum, Petrosains is targeting to reach 100,000 participants by December 2026, as part of its continued effort to expand access to STEM learning experiences nationwide.

First introduced in Sabah and Sarawak in 2025, the Petrosains Discovery Rover provides a flexible platform to bring curated STEM activities to schools and communities.

Its mobile format enables programmes to be delivered in diverse school settings, supporting broader participation and allowing students to engage with STEM learning within familiar environments. The programme is implemented in collaboration with Kementerian Pendidikan (KPM) and relevant education stakeholders.
