Adidas Just Turned Toy Story Characters Into Sneakers

Sneaker collaborations are nothing new, but Adidas’ latest collection with Toy Story 5 is getting plenty of attention online for bringing some of the franchise’s most iconic characters into wearable form.

According to sneaker outlets including House of Heat, the upcoming collection features designs inspired by Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear — each translated into different Adidas silhouettes.

The Collection Is Basically Pure Nostalgia

The standout pair for many fans is the Woody-inspired Adidas Samba, which features denim-style panels, yellow plaid details, cow-print accents, and a gum sole inspired by the cowboy sheriff’s signature outfit.

Jessie’s version takes things further with cow-print overlays, red stitching details, and denim stripes that mirror the cowgirl character’s look.

Meanwhile, Buzz Lightyear’s sneaker arrives as an Adidas Adistar Control 5, combining white mesh with green, purple, silver, and red accents inspired by the Space Ranger’s suit.

  • The Woody Adidas Samba: This is the star of the leak! It features a gum sole with denim-blue and yellow accents, plus that iconic cow-print on the heel to match Woody’s vest.

  • The Jessie Samba: A white leather base with cow-print toe guards and striking red details, mimicking the look of the spirited cowgirl.

  • TheBuzz Lightyear Adidas Samba: A clean white base with the classic space-ranger purple and green stripes. It’s a modern look that still feels like it belongs in Star Command.
  • The OG Woody Kids Edition: Even the Kids Version Samba x Toy Story sold out fast, proving that parents want their kids to have the ultimate “Mini-Me” flex.

The Internet Has No Chill

Much like a viral TikTok challenge, the internet is obsessed but also a little heartbroken. People are flooding the comments section because everyone loves Toy Story, and seeing it sell out so fast shows that nostalgia is a powerful “Real-Life Legend.”

For once, the internet is crying together because missing a drop this big feels like a total fumble, especially since the use of premium materials like suede and leather made these a must-have for every collector.

Fans Are Loving The Throwback Designs

Photos of the collection quickly spread across sneaker and fashion pages online, with many fans praising the detailed references to the characters.

For a lot of people, the collection taps into childhood nostalgia while still feeling wearable enough for everyday outfits which is probably why the designs are getting so much attention.

The collection is expected to release globally in June 2026 alongside the lead-up to the new Toy Story film.
