Garmin’s Women Of Endurance Campaign Highlights Women’s Everyday Resilience

Malaysia, 5 May 2026 – Garmin’s Women of Endurance campaign redefines the concept of endurance, typically associated with athletes, from the perspective of motherhood, highlighting the physical and mental demands women face as they navigate across multiple roles in daily life. It draws a parallel between this sustained effort as a form of high intensity “invisible training.”

Through a series of illustrations, Women of Endurance brings these everyday moments to life. At the same time, data from Garmin wearables provides measurable insights for fatigue, making invisible exhaustion visible and helping women better understand their energy levels and prioritize rest and recovery.

The exhaustion that mothers endure in daily life is often accumulated by chronic “invisible fatigue,” which is difficult to quantify and therefore frequently overlooked. Psychological research indicates that while women report fatigue more often than men, their exhaustion is often underestimated by others. This gap means women’s fatigue is often felt but overlooked, even as it highlights the remarkable adaptability and resilience they demonstrate under prolonged pressure and demands.

Illustrating Everyday Moments of Women’s Resilience
To illustrate women’s everyday endurance, Garmin has collaborated with female Taiwanese artist Chouyi, known for her artistic expressions centered around experimental art comics and illustrations. Through vibrant color palettes and delicate brushwork, she transformed abstract concepts into heartfelt, slice-of-life illustrations, capturing the precise moments where women most resemble athletes in their daily routines.

Everyday moments that mirror athletic performance, from carrying heavy loads and balancing a child up flights of stairs which elevates the mother’s heart rate to the levels equivalent to a HIIT session, the walk home becomes the race to the finish line after a full day of managing responsibilities and tackling unpredictable every moments, chasing toddlers daily during mealtimes, cleaning chaos, and running back and forth adds up to a 10km obstacle course.

Through compelling visual narratives, these artworks capture the lived experiences of Women of Endurance, revealing levels of focus and resilience comparable to athletes facing high-intensity challenges.

Making Fatigue Visible
Many women often push through exhaustion because they lack clear physiological warning signs. Garmin wearables serve as the ultimate everyday companion based on health science, integrating Heart Rate Variability (HRV), stress levels, and sleep quality metrics into Body Battery levels, an intuitive score from 0 to 100 to quantify energy levels that help women visualize their exertion and prioritize recovery.

Garmin recommends that women leverage their wearable data to establish a personalized recovery rhythm with five key approaches:

1. Identify Fragmented sleep: Frequent parenting interruptions disrupt energy recovery. Garmin Sleep Coach powered by Firstbeat Analytics and personalized metrics helps pinpoint low-quality rest periods, enabling timely routine adjustments or to seek support.

2. Monitor Stress Trends: Sustained high-stress levels signals that the body is under strain. Simple guided breathing exercises help shift the body back to a relaxed state.

3. Track Recovery and Immunity: Heart Rate Variability (HRV) often exhibits fluctuates around menstrual cycles, inadequate recovery, or just before illness. Monitoring these data trends allow women to prioritize rest preemptively.

4. Observe Dietary Impacts: Garmin’s Lifestyle Logging feature tracks the effects of caffeine, or high-sugar foods on metrics like respiration rate, helping women align nutrition with their body’s actual needs.

5. Embrace Active Rest: Like elite athletes, intentional rest is essential for continuous performance and general well-being.

To further celebrate the everyday strength of women through movement, wellness and community, Garmin will be hosting a special community activation, Women of Endurance – Here’s to Her, on 24 May 2026, from 8.00am to 2.00pm at PARC, Subang. Designed as a wellness day that brings together movement, education and creative expression, moms can bring their child and vice versa and choose from three curated sessions:

  • Beginner 2KM walk or run session with Mom
  • Move with Mom – a kid-friendly Mat Pilates session for moms and kids
  • Process Painting Workshop lead by humankind

Participation will be available soon via sign-up, with limited slots. More information on the event activation will be shared on Garmin Malaysia Instagram page.

Through the Women of Endurance campaign, Garmin encourages women, especially mothers to take back control of their physical well-being. Only by bringing hidden energy depletion to light, real and lasting recovery can begin.
