From spectacular dragon boat races and giant panda celebrations to immersive attractions, world-class football festival and exclusive travel rewards, visitors can enjoy a packed calendar of experiences while making the most of special summer deals across the city.

Running until 31 August 2026, the campaign brings together some of Hong Kong’s biggest seasonal events alongside exclusive offers on attractions, transportation, shopping and dining, giving Malaysians even more reasons to plan their next holiday to the Events Capital of Asia.

Summer Highlights Across Hong Kong

Whether you are planning a family holiday, a weekend city break or a football-filled getaway, here are some of the must-visit highlights taking place across the city this season:

  • Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival (19 June–1 July): Celebrate the 50th-anniversary edition of Hong Kong’s iconic dragon boat races, where more than 220 teams from around the world will compete on Victoria Harbour. For the first time, the event expands into a 13-day festival, featuring a vibrant waterfront experience with Dragon Boat Food Lane, Beer Garden, cultural workshops, themed installations and photo-worthy attractions along the Avenue of Stars.
  • Pixar Summer Fest (12 June–31 August): Be immersed in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s first-ever Pixar-themed celebration, bringing beloved characters to life through the all-new “Pixar Pals Spectacular” nighttime show featuring glowing drones, shimmering fountains, projections and giant inflatables. The new show debuts before the resort’s signature “Momentous” nighttime spectacular. Visitors can also enjoy the “Pixar Water Play Street Party!”, the park’s largest-ever “Friendtastic!” parade, character encounters and themed experiences in dining, shopping and hotel stays and activities.
  • Pandastic Summer Birthday Celebration – Let the Fun Begin! (26 June–31 August): Join Ocean Park Hong Kong’s birthday celebration for giant panda twins Jia Jia and De De alongside popular starts Ying Ying, Le Le, An An and Ke Ke. The festivities feature themed installations, photo opportunities and interactive experiences where all six giant pandas appear as playful Panda Friends characters.
  • Design Ah! Experience the Wonder of Everyday Design (27 June 2026–10 January 2027): Opening at M+, this family-friendly exhibition transforms everyday activities such as eating, walking and sitting into interactive discoveries through hands-on games, immersive installations and engaging audiovisual experiences. Visitors of all ages are invited to observe familiar objects and behaviours from new perspectives, sparking curiosity, creativity and plenty of unexpected “Ah!” moments.
  • Bubble Planet Hong Kong (From 29 June): Making its Hong Kong debut at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, this globally acclaimed immersive attraction combines digital art, optical illusions, virtual reality and multi-sensory installations to create a playful, bubble-themed adventure for families and experience seekers.

  • Hong Kong Football Festival 2026 (31 July–5 August): Football fans can catch four European giants — Manchester City, FC Internazionale Milano, Chelsea FC and Juventus — in action at Kai Tak Stadium. The festival features two blockbuster matches, as well as exclusive open training sessions by Manchester City and Chelsea, offering fans rare opportunities to get closer to their favourite clubs. Building on the success of last year’s festival, the event features a rare gathering of Champions League-winning clubs, reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as one of Asia’s premier destinations for international sport and live entertainment.

Travel Further, Spend Less with Summer Deals

To complement the summer festivities, Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB)’s Summer Deals programme offers visitors exclusive savings across attractions, transportation, shopping and dining throughout the city.

In partnership with Trip.com Group, HKTB is rolling out more than HK$20 million worth of exclusive offers across 19 attractions and three transport operators. To make the deals even sweeter, additional rewards will be released in two waves on 15 June and 14 July, available on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing travellers to experience more of Hong Kong for less.

From 1 July to 31 August, visitors to Hong Kong can enjoy the “Summer Instant Rewards” programme through a collaboration between HKTB, AlipayHK, Alipay and Alipay+. Travellers can redeem instant spending rewards worth up to HK$500 by scanning designated QR codes at any merchant displaying the AlipayHK, Alipay and Alipay+ payment acceptance mark at nearly 100 participating shopping malls across Hong Kong, including popular destinations such as Central Market, K11, Festival Walk, Mira Place, and Hong Kong International Airport. Beyond instant rewards, visitors can also enjoy more than 150 exclusive merchant offers including shopping, dining and entertainment citywide.
