UMW Toyota Motor Sustains Second Quarter Momentum Through Expanding Mobility Choices And Customer-Centric Innovation

SHAH ALAM, 9 JULY 2026 UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) recorded over 7,300 units in June 2026, bringing total Q2 2026 sales to more than 20,800 units and year-to-date sales to  above 36,200 units. The quarter reflected continued customer confidence across Toyota’s  core model range, supported by an expanding electrified line-up, stronger customer  engagement and ongoing efforts to deliver practical mobility solutions that meet the  evolving needs of Malaysians.

Throughout the second quarter, UMWT continued to strengthen Toyota’s Multi-Pathway  Electrification Strategy by offering a broader range of mobility solutions tailored to  different customer lifestyles and stages of readiness. Building on the introduction of the  Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) line-up comprising the Toyota bZ4X, Urban Cruiser BEV and  Hilux BEV, alongside the introduction of the all-new Toyota Yaris Cross in both ICE and HEV  variants, Toyota continues to provide customers with practical lower-carbon mobility  options while empowering them to choose the technology that best suits their everyday  driving needs.

“Our second quarter performance reflects continued customer confidence in Toyota’s  product line-up and the choices we are bringing to market. Our commitment goes beyond  introducing new products. We are focused on building an ecosystem that gives customers  greater choice, confidence and convenience throughout their ownership journey. By  combining our Multi-Pathway approach with innovations that showcase the future of  mobility and initiatives that strengthen everyday ownership, we continue to deliver  solutions that are meaningful, dependable and relevant for Malaysians,” said Datuk  Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor.

Complementing its product and mobility initiatives, UMWT continues to enhance the  ownership experience through Toyota Extra Mile, an ownership programme that supports  customers beyond purchase through six pillars, Extra Rewards, Extra Protection, Extra  Convenience, Extra Peace of Mind, Extra Security and Extra Care. These pillars bring  together practical benefits such as rewards, vehicle protection, easier service access,  added assurance, security support and customer care, giving customers greater value and  confidence throughout their Toyota ownership journey.
