What If Your Favourite Malaysian Food Tastes Even Better With a Fresh Palate? Spritzer Sparkling Wants You to ‘Reset Rasa’ This Merdeka

From nasi lemak to satay and char kway teow, Spritzer Sparkling’s latest campaign invites Malaysians to rediscover the flavours they already know and love.

If there’s one thing Malaysians can agree on, it’s food.
Nasi lemak for breakfast, char kway teow for lunch, satay after sunset or a plate of roti canai whenever cravings hit our favourite local dishes are more than just comfort food. They’re part of what brings us together, crossing cultures, generations and even the occasional debate over where to find the best version.

This Merdeka and Hari Malaysia, Spritzer Sparkling is giving Malaysians a reason to look at these familiar favourites a little differently with its nationwide ‘Reset Rasa’ campaign.

The idea is simple: sometimes, you don’t need to change the food. You just need to refresh the way you experience it.

When we eat our favourite dishes often enough, it’s easy to forget what makes them so good in the first place, the aroma of sambal, the richness of coconut milk, the crunch of fried toppings or the layers of flavour in every bite.

That’s where Spritzer Sparkling comes in.

The campaign encourages diners to take a sip between bites, refreshing the palate so they can better appreciate the different flavours and textures of their meal.

Nasi lemak takes centre stage as the campaign’s hero pairing, with Spritzer Sparkling positioned as a refreshing companion to one of Malaysia’s most iconic dishes.

According to Spritzer, its carbonation helps ‘Menyegar Deria’ by refreshing the senses and palate, while its zero-sugar, no-calorie formula allows the natural flavours of food to shine without overpowering them. The refreshed palate is also intended to help diners ‘Meningkat Rasa’, making each bite more enjoyable.

“Food is one of the strongest connections Malaysians share, regardless of race, language or background,” said Shiao Chan, Head of Marketing at Spritzer.

“Through ‘Reset Rasa’, we want to encourage Malaysians to embark on this journey of rediscovery. Slow down, savour and take pride in the flavours of the iconic local foods they already know so well with a new sense of enjoyment.”

A Fresh Take on Familiar Favourites
Bringing the idea to life is Spritzer Sparkling’s new ‘Reset Rasa’ Merdeka commercial film, which celebrates the nostalgia, pride and everyday moments that surround Malaysian food.

Rather than reinventing the dishes Malaysians already love, the campaign is about rediscovering them, one bite at a time.

And honestly, that feels pretty fitting for Merdeka.
Because while our food may come from different cultures and traditions, it has a way of ending up on the same table.

So this Merdeka, perhaps it’s time to slow down, take a sip and reset rasa because your favourite Malaysian dish might just have a few more flavours waiting to be discovered.
