There’s a new lady in town.
American footwear brand Sam Edelman has officially opened its first boutique in Penang at Gurney Plaza, marking its first standalone store outside the Klang Valley and its third boutique in Malaysia within a year of its local debut.
The 1,056 sq ft boutique brings Sam Edelman’s signature mix of timeless American style and modern sophistication to Penang shoppers.
A New Home Up North
Located at Gurney Plaza, the new boutique features a warm, modern interior with a gold-toned façade, neutral tones, wood finishes and a sage green feature wall.
Inside, shoppers can find some of Sam Edelman’s signature styles, including the Alie Ballet Flats, Bay Sandals, Bianka Sling, Hazel Pumps, Michaela Flats and Langley Sneakers.
The designs are built around versatility, making them easy to wear from everyday looks to more polished occasions.
Meet ‘She’s A Lady’
The Penang opening also comes alongside Sam Edelman’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, She’s a Lady.
The collection explores modern femininity through three style directions: Maximalist, Modern Boho and Sharp Tailoring.
Maximalist brings bold textures, embellishment and dramatic proportions, while Modern Boho takes a softer approach with suede, lightweight fabrics and relaxed silhouettes.
Sharp Tailoring, meanwhile, plays with structured shapes, heritage-inspired patterns and rich textures for a polished take on power dressing.
Celebrate With A Coffee
To celebrate its Penang arrival, Sam Edelman will also host a three-day café pop-up from September 11 to 13 with Ghim Ghim Café.
Visitors who follow @sam_edelman.my on Instagram and show their profile to the staff can enjoy a complimentary drink, including coffee, matcha or yuzu soda, while stocks last.
The Sam Edelman Gurney Plaza boutique is now open at Ground Floor, Lot 170-G-23A/25, Gurney Plaza, George Town, Penang.
