Garmin Malaysia has unveiled the Approach S72, its new flagship golf smartwatch designed to provide advanced golf, health and wellness features on and off the course.
Available in 43mm and 47mm, the smartwatch features bright AMOLED displays, a lightweight ComfortFit fabric band, titanium bezel and sapphire lens for comfort and durability.
With biometric data, including real-time heart rate, golfers can better understand how their heart rate changes before and after each shot. The Approach S72 also introduces on-wrist swing metrics, helping players make swing adjustments based on real data rather than feel.
With an active Garmin Golf Membership, golfers can also access green contour data, including putt break direction and average slope percentage, to help determine their aim point.

New Features Built For The Course
- Golf Biometric Data: Review heart rate trends after a completed round and see how they may have impacted the score.
- Swing Metrics: Track hand speed, backswing length, wrist rotation and more for deeper swing insights.
- Green Reading: Use green contour data to better determine the putting line.
- Driving Range Activity: Track swing metrics and practice sessions through the Garmin Connect app, allowing them to contribute to fitness goals.
- Putting Analytics: Review speed bias, direction bias, make rate and more in the Garmin Golf app after a round.
- Aerial Imagery: View real imagery of the hole to make more informed decisions on layups, the best place to miss and more.
Built For All-Day Wear
The Approach S72 combines a lightweight titanium bezel, sapphire lens and ComfortFit fabric band for all-day comfort and durability.
It also features a speaker and microphone for phone calls and voice commands, along with Garmin’s built-in flashlight, offering variable white-light intensities and a red light.
The larger smartwatch offers up to 20 hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to 16 days with GPS turned off.
Performance Beyond The Course
The Approach S72 is also designed for everyday wear, offering health and fitness features including wrist-based heart rate, stress tracking, Body Battery energy monitoring and advanced sleep monitoring.
It also comes with preloaded activity profiles to help golfers work on their strength and mobility.
Pricing And Availability
The Garmin Approach S72 will be available from 30 October 2026 at a suggested retail price of RM3,599 for both the 43mm and 47mm sizes.
It will be available through Garmin.com.my, Shopee, Lazada, AECO e-store, Garmin Brand Stores and authorised retailers.
