The number of COVID-19 infections worldwide has recorded an increase of over 200,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to recent data from Johns Hopkins University, the positive case as of Monday morning in Malaysia’s figure of 12.82 million.
The United States has not changed to be the worst affected country with 3.28 million positive cases.
This was followed by Brazil, with 1.83 million positive cases. India and Russia surpassed the half-million mark with 849,000 and 726,000 cases of infection, respectively.
Peru and Chile each passed 300,000 positive cases.
The top 10 countries recorded positive values over 200,000, namely Mexico, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Iran, Spain, Pakistan, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and France.
The other five countries recorded positive numbers in excess of 100,000, namely Germany, Bangladesh, Colombia, Canada and Qatar.
Other countries still record COVID-19 infection numbers below 100,000.
