PUTRAJAYA, July 28 – The Road Transport Department (JPJ) offers a reduction of summons payments to all compoundable summonses issued by JPJ and the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).
Minister of Transport, Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong said the offer, which started from August 1 to 31, was implemented in conjunction with the independence month celebration.
This offer is given to all summonses issued for offenses under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board Act (Act 334), Land Public Transport Act (Act 715) as well as the rules and orders under it, including cases still in blacklist action.
“A total of 70 percent reduction is offered based on the current compound rate available in the JPJ system and which has been set for cases under the act,” he said in a statement, today.
In the meantime, the reduction of the summons will be implemented at all JPJ offices (state, branch, and UTC) as well as other JPJ payment channels such as the JPS mySIKAP portal, JPJ Kiosk, and JPJ Mobile.
“For offenses that have been blacklisted, the public is required to come to the branch or state JPJ office for the documentation process before payment can be done,” the statement added.
