Devender Sharma, a 62-year-old doctor, was arrested by Delhi Police Narcotics Cell. After the investigation, it was revealed that the doctor was involved in 50 cases of murdering truck and taxi drivers. The bodies of people he murdered were then used to feed crocodiles in the Hazara Canal in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj.
Despite having a degree in BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery), he was also convicted in conducting illegal transplants of more than 125 kidneys between 1994 and 2004. Earlier, he was also arrested for running a fake gas agency in UP.
Sharma committed murdering cases with a group of criminals. They then earned between Rs20,000 to Rs25,000 per car by selling each car part.
His murder cases were taken into custody where he confessed of his crimes on June 29 this year.
