Sacrificing yourself when you are not in any better condition is something not everyone has the courage to do. Meet Kanta Murti, a 50-year-old woman who sells flowers for earning, but willing to help motorists and vehicles from getting into accidents.
Increasing levels of water due to rains alerted Murti to open a manhole on Tulsi Pipe Road in Matunga West, Mumbai. Her fast actions to let the flowing waters to recede has raised attention from the citizens. She stood at the manhole for 8 hours to warn vehicles about the opened manhole.
Despite her brave action, she lost her tent and saving money. She is the breadwinner of her family as her husband is paralyzed and has to support her 3 children’s education. Her big heart pushed her to do the good deeds as she put everyone’s safety first before her life.
