Nowadays, people would dare to do anything for the sake of good photos. The emerging of social media in our life has become phenomenal to everyone.
We would want to capture every single moment in our life and posted them on our social media. However, this act sometimes can be fatal if we ignore our safety to get a good angle for the photo.
It was reported that a man fell from a cliff when he was trying to take a photo. The incident happened in Oregon at about 2 p.m. on Devil’s Cauldron trail in Oswald West State Park.
A 43-year old man, Steven Gastelum went hiking with another man when he attempted to climb a tree for a photo. Unfortunately, the tree limb broke, and Gastelum fell 100 feet into the ocean.
The tree that he climbed appears to be near a barrier warning visitors which warns the visitors to stay away from the cliff. His body later was found in the water and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Gastelum was on the other side of the barrier when he fell, said Capt. Tim Fox, the Oregon State Police public information officer. He also added that there are still wildfires burning in Oregon, but the area he fell was not affected by the fire.
