All IPT Urged To Delay Physical Registration Of New Students – MOHE

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 2 – All Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT) are advised to postpone the registration session of new students physically and the admission of old students to campus.

The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) through a statement said, on the contrary, all student registration matters can be done online.

At the same time, aspects of teaching and learning can also be implemented with the same method until a new announcement is announced.

“For students who have been on campus and are pursuing academic activities, they can remain on their respective campuses.

“IPT is asked to help all the needs of this group of students,” the statement said today.

In addition, MOHE also suggested that all programs or activities involving gatherings on campus be postponed.

“MOHE has also taken proactive steps in consulting with airlines to apply to reschedule the flight of students returning to campus, especially for those who have purchased return flight tickets to their respective IPTs.

“As a result of the negotiations, the airlines have agreed to reschedule student flights until December 31, 2020,” the statement added.
